For Velasea's latest charitable contribution, we decided to go hyper-local by giving back to a fellow Irvine-based organization. As a born-and-bred south OC company, we are thankful to witness first-hand the incredible work being done by Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
“Second Harvest Food Bank is facing an unprecedented challenge with the spread of COVID-19 and its effects on the local economy. When schools close, half of public school children will be missing the free and reduced price meals they receive at schools, placing an increasing burden on limited family resources.”
They are currently running virtual food drives, in addition to their traditional collection methods. Every $1 provides 3 meals and 100% of the proceeds go toward purchasing food.

Jimmy Whalen, a graduate of USC’s Marshall School of Business, is the CEO and President, as well as a founding member, of Velasea. He and his team are leaders in providing tech products at competitive pricing, designing solutions for complex projects, and sourcing constrained items to support mission-critical systems.
When Jimmy was an Account Executive for Arbitech, his team consistently led the company, and the independent channel, in sales volume. An industry visionary, Jimmy is a member of Velasea’s board of directors, and he travels extensively to meet with tech business executives nationwide.
When not on the road, Jimmy enjoys golfing at the country club adjacent to his home in Laguna Niguel, California, where he lives with his wife and three children.
